As those of you who follow the brand would know, we recently launched a campaign with New York-based non-profit charity: water. Through the help of donations, our hope is to provide 125 people with clean and safe drinking water in developing countries.
However, we just came across The Obakki Foundation, whose model is simple. They "drill wells, monitor their adoption, then expand development in villages that show a capacity for maximizing their new-found resource." Over the last three years, they've provided over 500 water wells and brought water to more than 750,000 people. Communities they have entered are now able to settle in one place and no longer need to move around in search of clean water.
