A Panel Discussion on Building Your Personal Brand
#PersonalBrandTO | A Panel Discussion on Building Your Personal Brand
I'm excited to share that I'll be speaking on my first panel this month in Toronto at BrainStation, along with Mary Young (CEO & Designer), Jackie Beale (Photographer & Storyteller), and Kayla Seah (Blogger & Content Creator), to name a few. It's an honour to be involved alongside such inspiring creators and hope I can pass along some of the things I have learned over the years of running my own business and personal brand.
It's funny the route that some us take in order to end up doing what we love. Although I have always been interested in music and fashion (dressing well – or trying to stay relevant and cool), I honestly never would have thought I'd actually end up running my own brands. Sometimes it feels like I just fell into it as opportunities came about but it wasn't until I started a blog in University that I realized I was truly passionate about it. There are definitely some days that I question "what the hell am I doing and if this will all work out in the end," but that uncertainty allows for you to push yourself and thrive under the daily pressure.

6:30 - 8:30 PM
60 King Street West (enter through
the glass doors on Spadina).
We all have our own journey. We have all our own stories. None are better than others. We're all on our own path and must be aware of every door that opens and/or closes in order to move forward. We'll be sharing our thoughts on defining your strengths and how to build a narrative around them, choosing the right channels to build your brand, how building your personal brand can help you land a new gig, and much more. I hope for this to be insightful for others that are either already running their own brands or looking to get started.
